Pi Collaboration Table Floorplans
Pi™ lets you change the room arrangement to support a wide range of activities that pertain to eLearning, and especially small group arrangements used in collaboration teams. The ampitheater arrangement is an easy setup, which would normally require angled wedges installed between rectangle-shaped table tops. Pi™ nests at variable angles, so the arcs for any room are possible without a customized product. When smaller groups are required, the same tables can be easily re-arranged.
When you need to divide the class in half for activities, consider rings. Pi™ is available in left and right directions. All of these are going in the same direction (concave end on the user's left). If you have equal numbers of left and right, you can have one ring in each direction.
These odd-shaped groups give each person a creative space without the confrontational body language characteristic of rectangular arrangements. Smaller and larger groups are also possible. These organic shapes often have no "power position," which is conducive to equalizing the communication flow among the team members. Informal arrangements have the flexibility of including members on the fly. Imagine the flexible possibilities using laptops with WiFi.
Using equal numbers of left and right Pi™ tables, and one Pi™ R-Squared Coupling Cabinet per group, these groups act like mini-conference tables. The round top cabinet can act like a hub to route power and data to the group, house rack-mounted components, and serve as a printer stand. These groups are also possible with out the R-Squared Cabinets.
Using equal numbers of left and right Pi™ tables, and one Pi™ R-Squared Coupling Cabinet per group, these groups are really teams of three. The round top cabinet can act like a hub to route power and data to the group, house rack-mounted components, and serve as a printer stand. These groups are also possible withlout the R-Squared Cabinets, using a Span Coupling Plate, or without any coupling plate using all Pi™ in the same direction, or the left and right groups may be coupled nose-to-nose using a Saddle Coupling Plate.
